Founded on September 16, 2019, by Mrs. Chinyere Nnenna Madueke-Onwo, BeWise International an acronym for ‘Women of Integrity, Strength and Excellence’ is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, and humanitarian organization dedicated to empowering women and girls across the globe. It is fully registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), affirming its legitimacy and commitment to societal impact.
At BeWise International, we are driven by a deep passion to inspire, uplift, and transform the lives of women and girls, irrespective of tribe, status, or background. Our mission is anchored in the belief that every female deserves a voice, a chance, and a future free from limitations, abuse, and societal neglect.
1. Humanitarian Service – Delivering life-changing support to women and girls in need across communities and nations.
2. Advocacy for the Voiceless – Standing in the gap for marginalized and oppressed females, ensuring they are heard and protected.
3. Support for the Vulnerable – Providing aid to the poor, widows, orphans, and victims of abuse, giving them the dignity and strength to thrive.
4. Empowerment and Encouragement – Recognizing and uplifting women of excellence, and nurturing the potential in those who feel defeated or forgotten.
5. Collaboration for Greater Impact – Partnering with individuals, organizations, and institutions that share our vision of transformation and equality.
Through our flagship advocacy program, Catch Them Young, we reach out to schools to educate the next generation on key social values including self-worth, drug avoidance, sexual health, hygiene, and the dangers of cultism and early marriage. We aim to build resilient, informed, and morally upright youths who will become responsible adults.
BeWise also provides skills training, organizes inter-school competitions, sponsors scholarships for indigent yet brilliant students, and promotes self-reliance through empowerment workshops. We extend our support to widows by offering grants and vocational training, helping them build sustainable livelihoods and regain their independence.
We regularly visit orphanages, offering not just material aid but the emotional support and love these children desperately need. Our vision is to eventually adopt and raise more of these children in nurturing environments that prepare them for a brighter future.
We believe that the child neglected today may become society’s threat tomorrow. Hence, our work is urgent, necessary, and impactful.
BeWise International continues to make significant strides, often funded by the personal sacrifices of our committed members. However, to deepen our impact and reach more lives, we invite kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and partners who believe in excellence, compassion, and social justice to support our cause.
Together, we can change lives, rewrite stories, and build a world where no woman or girl is left behind.
